About ME

I was born and brought up in Jaipur, India.  Raised by a wonderfully strong mother (a fighter) and a loving father, instilling in me values I carry today. My path led me to Germany in 2013 for studies, culminating in a PhD in Autonomous Vehicles and a fulfilling career here.

Now, as a mother of two, reading is central to our family life. My husband and I began reading to our children very early on, inspired partly by the fantastic quality and educational value of children’s books readily available here in Germany.

However, Hindi is my mother tongue, the language of my heart, and the primary language I use with my children. As they grew, I naturally sought out Hindi stories to read to them. But beyond just hearing the language, I felt it was crucial for them to truly know and connect with Hindi, especially in a world where English often takes precedence. It felt essential for preserving that vital link to their roots and heritage.

I explored existing options, including classics, but often felt they didn’t quite capture what I was looking for. Particularly as the mother of a daughter, I felt a desperate need for stories that highlights the achievements, resilience, and diverse journeys of successful Indian women – powerful role models she could connect with and look up to. I want her, and my son, along with all other children, to see the strength women possess. If only they can see it, they can dream BIG and achieve HIGH.

And here I was with my idea of short, one-page stories. Why one page? Honestly, it started from a practical, perhaps even slightly selfish, place! 🤭 As a busy working parent, I know how precious time is. One-page stories are quick, digestible, and impactful. They make these stories accessible, easy to fit into a bedtime routine or a quiet moment, helping me – carefully brainwashing strength – planting a seed of inspiration without requiring a huge time commitment.

I have a deep desire for my children to maintain a strong connection to both the Hindi language and their Indian heritage – is the very reason this platform exists. I realised that if I was looking for this, perhaps other parents were too. I didn’t have enough of these stories readily available in this format, so I decided to create them – first for my own children, and now, hopefully, for yours too.

My goal is to collect and share these, inspiring Hindi stories about real Indian women achievers, making their challenges accessible and empowering for the next generation, helping them connect to their language, their culture, and the incredible potential within themselves.✨
